Reconnecting - Lauralee - Thomson - Women - Rituals - Melbourne

After a winter without vegetables growing in my garden this is one of the most exciting sights! My beautiful little bush bean sprouting up through the earth in search of sunshine. And so a new cycle begins. Growing organic vegetables for my family is incredibly satisfying. Putting time, effort and love into our food before it even reaches our kitchen.

As I write this I realise how disconnected I've felt with cooking over winter and I wonder if it's because of the disconnection in the process of growing my own food. I know I take more care and certainly have more respect for my food when I'm connected to how much time and effort it takes to grow them.

With love & gratitude,

Lauralee
